Dog grooming.....A Skill to Master..

I always thought that tying a short pony tail to a dog's hair is so easy...wait til you really put this to test....you'll know...

I insisted to try grooming one Shih Tzu this morning and well it looks easy but still I'm new so I'm not that pro in really making them look nice.....so ended up my colleague have to add some finishing touch to it....poor thing...but then it still look good...

This afternoon, I managed to groom another dog on my own....of course under the supervision of my colleague.....well not bad.....look at the results.... I'm quite pleased indeed....

And...it really look cute.....hahahhaha

This is something I like to share with you from one of my friend who forwarded me this info.... recently. If you find this informative, pls circulate. It was conducted by A/P Catherine Tayon Legal issues in E-commerce.

Notice that most of the time, the receipt / invoice you received from the merchant carries this exclusion clause or similarly worded statement: " Goods soldare not returnable" or "No refund once sold".

The thing that I have learnt from her is that : "As long as your good is purchased for home use and not for business (i.e. to be resold), the above exclusion clause is VOID. That means, as long as the good is defective, regardless of what is worded, you CAN get back all your money spent .

You do not have to accept a repair on the good or an exchange. You CAN ask for a refund. AND you are LEGALLY right and entitled to! What a revelation!! And most of the time the merchant will refuse to return you your money. Her advice? From her own experience and no less than 7 and all successful!, she will threaten themerchant with four words: "SEE YOU IN COURT!"

The court here refers to the Small Claims Tribunal Court.. However, you don't have to tell them what court! All you have to pay is RM10 admin fee and the loser (the merchant) will have to refund you the money PLUS the admin fee!

She shared this with us because she felt that even educated people are cowed by such unfair wordings (which includes her jaded friends who are not lawyers).

Pls try not to let the merchant fleece you the next time you have a defective good. I know where to file this. On the 16th floor of Putra Place (The Mall opposite Putra World TradeCentre) .

The form cost RM5.00. The Tribunal will settle within 2 months period.

娃娃脸 (Wa Wa Lian - Doll Face) is the laziest Pomeranian in the shop....no doubt she is also one of the cute ones... :P

Whenever I go see her, she'll sit quietly at a corner dosing off so funny.....i even got a video clip of her 'fishing' (钓鱼）hahhha.... and so she was the laughing stock for the day...

She really can sleep...reminds me of someone...also as round as her and also can really sleep in just like pig....hahhaha...wanna know who?? HIM　ｌｏ．．．．． that's why I call him 猪！！

7 random facts/habits about me :

1. I like to shop shop shop shop....until you drop...I don't know why, but I'm really addicted to shopping hhehhehe.

2. I have been wearing specs since primary 5, so far I own more than 10 pairs of specs (i think) all different colour frames and designs...(good for matching clothes hhehhehe)

3. I love dogs....currently I have 6 adults and 2 new born pups at home...but all of them are toy dogs.

4. I love shoes as well....everytime I go shopping shoes will definately be on my list....so far no one could possibly guess how many pair of shoes I have at home...hhehhe I myself also lost count.

5. I like to wear black....dunno why..maybe the colour makes me slimmer....:P so most of my clothes are black.

6. I have throat allergy so whenever I talk or eat...it'll make my throat itchy and cough.

7. I must wear makeup (even not full make up but basic makeup) whenever I go out cos if not, I'll look like a ghost hehhehe......not that bad actually....it's just I'm used to it. Foundation, blusher and brow pencil..... is a must for me daily...

Was still studying in Northampton, UK. Probably enjoying life as a college student there and meeting lots of overseas friends.... Living in a fun all girl's house and cooking and shopping all the time :P and of course travelling to europe during holidays.

2006...I've been travelling alot (afterI quit my job at the accounting firm and before I started work again) and enjoying life.....Was in UK and Europe for 1 month in May and June, then in Hong Kong and Macau in July and August, was in Bangkok in Dec....emmmm not forgeting my usual trip to KL as well....hehhe..

Where on earth are you?

Haven't had any news or reply from him since he went out Saturday night.....dunno whether he is well or not??!!Where is he? What's he doing? Is he ok? All these questions just kept on popping in my mind and making me worried....Disappeared? Phone line got barred? What happened?

Nothing much i can do except for sitting down quietly waiting for an answer.... but unlike me...i can't sit still for long....How?? Drive to his house and see if he is ok? Emmm....did that with meatball BUT...the car was not in...he was not home... *Sigh* Worried again...!!!

Turns out to be he went to his mum's place and had an arguement there so no mood... ****Sigh****

Our Short Getaway ~ Day 3 Home Sweet Home

As usual we got up early for breakfast, the resort serves us the same American breakfast and the only difference is that we got scramble eggs instead of sunny side up eggs with toast.
We checked out from the resort at about 930am, and headed back home.

On the way out, we stopped by at the fruits and vege stalls near the roadside to search for some mushrooms.... (he said I am too obsessed with mushrooms as mushrooms are the only thing I bought throughout the trip...and I fought with him for mushrooms during dinner hhehehehe...)

Saw these cute cactus plants for sale...didn't buy any, so took pics of them instead...cute le?

Btw, he took these pics of flies mating...not clear though...

Left the stalls at about 10am and we was on our way back to KK ~ home sweet home....Reached KK at about 11:30am and back to daily chores... how sad :(

Here are some pics he took at the Kundasang War Memorial, Kinabalu Park and Zen Garden....But all FLOWERS!!!!... I think I should give credit to him as he takes nice pics (I should say) innit?

Our Short Getaway ~ Day 2: Ranau & Kundasang

Got up early on Sunday morning for breakfast at the resort, we had American Breakfast ~ toast, hash brown, sausage and egg. The morning breeze and the view of the magnificent Mount Kinabalu was excellent...really superb. How nice to wake up every morning to be greeted by this nice view.

We proceed to Poring Hot Springs at about 10am reached our destination at about 10:45am. Didn't managed to get a bath place at first but at the end, we managed to get one. The bath place is like an open aired public bath (the concept is like a Roman bath) which can easily fit 2 adult. We waited sometime to get the tub cleaned and filled with water, whilst waiting i was snapping away again....

Both of us spent about half an hour or so at the bath as it was so relaxing and that we didn't even want to get up...but by that time i was starting to have headache.... so i got up....

I had this phobia of crossing hanging bridge...so he took pics of me crossing it, just to see how slow i crossed this short bridge!!
After, Hot Springs, we proceed to Kinabalu Park, by the time we got there, it started to get foggy, at first, we planned to go for the Botanical Garden hike, but then we gave up as both of us were not dress in proper attire for the hike as we were wearing slippers instead of trekking shoes... (ps: the route is just like jungle trekking but with slippers?? No way.....)

As the fog worsen, we decided to head back to our resort...on the way back, we made a quick stop at Fairy garden for photoshoot...as this place has nice photo spot and nice scenery...

By the time we got back to our resort, it was about 5pm. Took a short nap before we headed for dinner and call off for the day.

Our short getaway ~ Day 1 : Kundasang

We had a fun and relaxing time having a short getaway from the hectic city lifestyle to stay in the rural, quiet and cooling resort at Kundasang. The place was packed with visitors from all over the place as Kundasang is a popular getaway place for Sabahans and tourists. Luckily we managed to secure a standard room earlier at the Zen Garden Resort.

We took off at about 9am on Saturday from KK and we stopped over at Tamparuli for breakfast before we took an onward journey to Kundasang which is about 2 hours drive(depending on traffic.)

We reached Zen Garden at about 12:30pm as the traffic was quite heavy that morning and there is a minor road block on that day as they were clearing the land slide affected area, hence creating traffic jam for about 30 mins.

We were so tired after the drive and once we got settled down in our room, we took a short 'Siesta' to relax a bit. By the time we woke up, it was about 3:30pm, and the first stop on our itinerary was to the Kundasang War Memorial and Gardens -a memorial to remember the 2,428 Australian and British prisoners who died during the WW2 at the Sandakan POW Camp, and the casualties of the 3 infamous forced death marches i.e. Sandakan-Ranau Death March from Sandakan to Ranau. On top of that, it is also a tribute to the many locals who risked their lives while releasing the prisoners of war.

The Memorial is made up of four beautiful gardens - the Australian Garden, the English Garden, the Borneo Garden and the Contemplation Garden and Pool - to represent the different nationalities. With its towering pine trees and blooming roses, a walk in the gardens is reminiscent to that of a stroll in a quaint English garden. The scent of roses lingers in the air and the serene atmosphere makes the Kundasang War Memorial an ideal place to contemplate and remember the heroes of the war. Visitors can also opt to view a brief video on the history of the Sandakan Death March, which we didn't, cos we were too busy snapping away (with my camera of course)

He said this is a wishing toad so he placed a 20 cents coin in the toad's mouth and made 2 wishes...wonder if it really helps hehheheheh

Have you been wondering why there's only pic of me when i said us? Well...someone said he's too fat to be in the pic so none of him....ended up he's my private photographer for the whole trip....how nice...:P

We left this memorial at 5:oopm and headed towards the nearby vegetable and fruits stalls. We didn't manage to buy anything from there but we enjoyed having a stroll and looking at all those exotic fruits sold there. (refer to my previous blog : Fruits galore for pics of the fruits)

Headed back to the resort at 6pm for dinner and an early rest for us to end the day.

Fruits Galore - A visit from the west

A few friends (West Malaysians) came over from KL last week and they were so indulged with all those exotic fruits Borneo has to offer so they bought alot of them back home from their trip to Kundasang...

You might have guessed,we ended up having 'fruit party' for that night. Some of which, me being a Sabahan myself haven't seen or tasted it before, so...I was the laughing stock cum guinea pig for the night... how sad.

Fruits they bought includes : Wild durian, Wild longan, Wild mangosteen, Tarap, Cempedak, Duku, Durian, Mangosteen, Bambangan (wild mango with a strange smell and taste). I wonder how they managed to finish all....

The highlight for the night other than the fruits was 2 young and tiny visitors from the nearby houses. Me being a dog lover, instantly caught an eye of them and de-toured to play with them instead and left the fruits to the rest of the guys...hehheh cheeky me... :P

Suki... will be 2 years old this Dec and hence we have decided that she's a big girl and it's high time for her to find a hubby. So she was away from home for about a month to stay at the nearby pet shop with her new hubby...another silky terrier of course.

Dunno why suddenly I had this cravings for buns....then i went online and do my usual daily routine of disturbing meatball.....kekkkekke...that was about 11:45am.

I didn't mention about buns to her though, however, she was the one who said: "i want tuna cheese bun..." I was like ya...i feel like going there to buy too as i too have the same cravings....

So without any hesitation (actually hestitated for a while in MSN) I quicky get changed and drove straight to pick meatball off from work for our bun hunting quest...

And I ended up buying these...

I've been trying to search for the right theme song for my blog and at last, i've managed to find one that fits perfectly to what i'm trying to express and how i feel at this moment in time.

Surprise Package for a dear friend.......

I've known this friend of mine since October 2005 and everytime i go travelling, he will ask me to buy him a pack of Marlboro lights...First question asked... " Why wanna buy cigarettes whereby you can get it everywhere?" He looked at me stunned..."duh...don't you know that the packaging from different places are different?" I kept quiet..cos no point argueing as I myself haven't been really paying attention to the packaging itself as I am not a smoker...:(

Well...so far, I am proud to say I've actually contributed alot in his cigarette package collection task...hehheh... (maybe his house will be full of rubbish by then...hhehehe) Sorry...dear..I know it's treasure not rubbish!!!

I went travelling last year with my brother in Europe and in deed everywhere i go i bought him a pack of cigarettes..my bro was like 'what the hell....' I answered him the same answer my fren told me.... now....to my surprise..my brother actually helped him collecting rubbish everywhere....kakkaaa.

Just a few days ago i received a package from my brother in UK and inside is 24 cigarette packs from everywhere...virtually everywhere...(how sweet of my bro to have remembered, maybe we should be qualified garbage scavengers oneday...thanks to my dear fren....:P)

Anyway....take a look at what he sent....

Nice? Learn anything new yet? Kakkakka. BTW, just in case you all are wondering....all these boxes are empty...hehheehe (I don't encourage him to smoke alot...)

Addiction for Big Brother

What have i been up to these few months? Well busy downloading the popular Big Brother UK daily episodes online... :) As for my progress...too slow i would say as i still have a few more episodes to go but UK has ended it's Big Brother Season 8 already last month.

I watched this reality tv show when i was studying in Australia way back and since then, have been addicted to it. Too bad they don't have such things in Malaysia. I am sure this won't happen here in Malaysia!!! kekkeke

For those of you who doesn't know a hack about it....well....here's the intro:

Big Brother is the biggest reality show on TV. Take a handful of assorted Housemates, lock them into a sensory-bending House and they are isolated from the outside world. No phones, newspapers, radios or televisions. No contact with loved ones. They are all alone.... except for the millions of viewers watching them! and let Big Brother make the rules and you’ve got the recipe for one of the most talked about shows in TV history.

Everything the housemates do is recorded and broadcasted on television and the internet, and even sent through text messages to mobile phones. They can't eat, sleep, fart, kiss, bath or cry without the entire nation knowing. And judging them!

Essentially, Big Brother is a competition – one Housemate leaves the house each week by a process of Housemate nomination and public voting – until the final week. Then a public vote picks a winner who bags a fantastic one hundred thousand pounds cash prize in UK and AUD25,000 in Australia. Good heh??

Imagine....staying in a house with camera's everywhere..nothing you can hide. How's that sound? Definately a no no for me but it's fun watching.

Each week the Housemates are given a shopping budget to buy their necessities – but this can swell or dwindle depending on how they do in the weekly Tasks. And no-one – not the Housemates, not the public, not even Big Brother – can predict what’s going to happen in the House. And that is what Big Brother is all about.
